Who is the boss of the United States of America?
That is a tough question.
You would think it is George Bush because he is the one you see on tv but it was the founding fathers who wrote the constitution of the United States that decided the government should be run by the people for the people. That is why every one has the right to vote for or against people, policies and laws. There are 2 main sides the Republican and Democrat parties depending on the beliefs and policies of the party. Majority rules. The party with the most votes wins.
There are 50 states each has a governor who is the boss for matters of each state. The party who has the most votes in all the states will become the federal party. The president is the leader of the party that was voted most popular by the people. The president is voted for 4 years. If they do everything they promised to do they may get voted in again.
