Canada Government

In Canada’s government we have a democracy which means that we elect someone in a voting process. This year Steven Harper of the Conservative party was elected Prime minister. I think that Steven Harper is the boss of Canada because he has to make financial plans, such as taxes. Health care such as; doctor’s, and medical tools. He also has to do stuff for the schools, such as teachers, buses, and supplies and funding.

What happens in the election is that a number of people come to a place in the town. The voters get a slip and go to a box that has your last name inishial. Then you must fill who you want to vote for. So no one see’s who you vote for the box that you vote in has a long slanted top so no one spies. After you vote you put your ballot in the ballot box. After the voting area closes the people incharge of their station will count up the ballots in the ballot boxes. The next day all the members get to see their new office and sit on the leaders side of the legislator.

Our elected party and it's leader, our Prime Minister will usually stay in power for 4 years or until a new election is called.

So the Boss here is the Prime Minister, but only as long as he is elected and the people think he is fulfilling his promises and not breaking the rules set out in our Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
